Are you ready to dive into the world of rowing and racing?
The Don Rowing Club of Mississauga invites aspiring young rowers to join our Junior Indoor Clinic in April or/and DRC’s annual Summer Youth Camp! Both programs are fantastic opportunities for kids aged 12-17 to discover the excitement of rowing while building skills, teamwork, and a love for the sport. Join our Junior team after completing a minimum of two weeks of camp.
Our youth programs are suitable for kids of all fitness levels.

Summer Youth Camp
Dates: July to August, weekly Day-Camp, Monday to Friday
Time: 9:30am–3:30pm
Location: Don Rowing Club, Mississauga
Ages: 12–17 (birth year 2012 or earlier) Max. 24 kids per week.
$320.00 – $400.00
Get a head-start to the on-water season by focusing on stroke sequence and technique. During this indoor rowing clinic, you will make use of our ergometers (rowing machines) and the tank facility.
- Introduction to Rowing Techniques (first day of camp):
Learn the fundamentals of proper rowing techniques on ergometers (rowing machines) and in the indoor tank.
Receive personalized coaching to ensure a strong foundation and skills.
Learn boat and equipment handling skills. - On-water Rowing (2-3 times a day, weather permitting):
Explore the world of crew and small boat rowing on the Credit River.
Receive personalized coaching to ensure a strong foundation and technique.
Learn about water safety and river traffic rules. - Team Building and Racing Skills:
Foster teamwork through interactive team-building activities.
Learn race strategies and tactics to enhance competitive performance.
Fun regatta (race) at the end of each camp week. - General Fitness Sessions:
Engage in dynamic warm-ups and flexibility exercises.
Participate in strength and conditioning training tailored for young rowers. - Passionate Coaching:
Receive guidance from our certified coaches dedicated to nurturing a love for rowing.
Benefit from individualized attention to maximize learning and skill development. - Equipment:
All necessary rowing equipment provided. Participants should bring reusable water bottles, sunscreen, hat, life vest, full change of clothes, a positive attitude, and wear comfortable athletic wear. - Lunch + Snacks:
Participants should bring their own nut-free lunches and snacks.
