Masters Program

Masters – Program Changes due to Covid-19

Registration available in stages according to various safety factors, and only for members returning from 2019.  Please consult your coach with any questions.

The Masters program is geared toward rowers who have previous competitive rowing experience or who have been approved by the Coach after a skill evaluation.  Training is weekdays from 5:15 to 7:00am and Saturdays from 6:00 to 8:30 am (subject to some adjustments).  It is not expected that you attend every practice however you must attend consistently.

From April through October, training will be outside on the Credit River in Mississauga. During the winter months, training is conducted indoors at the rowing club. The Masters Program attends several regattas throughout the year:

  • Summer: Canada Day Regatta, Tony Biernacki Regatta, CORA Regattas, RowOntario Masters Championships, Royal Canadian Henley
  • Fall: Head of the Welland, Head of the Trent, Head of the Charles
  • Winter: Canadian Indoor Rowing Championships

Members of the Masters program are invited to an optional “Spring Training Camp” during March break to help refresh rowing skills and fitness at the start of the Spring season, and to provide a much-needed break from the cold Canadian weather. Past training camps have been held in Arizona, Texas and Mexico.
