2018 marks the 140 anniversary since the founding of The Don Rowing Club (DRC) in 1878, where it was first established in downtown Toronto near the base of the Don River. The club has had many keen competitors and has seen much success on both the national and international fronts over the many years. There have been many ups and downs over the course of the decades, and has even changed locations several times due to the growth of the city of Toronto and changes in the course of the Don River. The DRC eventually moved to Mississauga in the 1960s, and the construction of the boathouse in 1961. Since then, the club has grown roots in Port Credit, and continues to develop prominent rowers within Canada.
Stay tuned for further announcements and events celebrating this wonderful milestone.
