Boat Drivers needed for July 1st Canada Day Regatta at the Toronto IslandThe Dominion Day Regatta Association (DDRA) is looking for boat drivers for the Canada Day Regatta held on the Toronto island on July 1. The good news is you only need to obtain your Transport Canada Pleasure Craft Operator’s Permit for this event and sign a waiver to grant you permission to drive in the Toronto Harbour in the absence of a Toronto Port Authority Operators Permit.If you do not have your Transport Canada Pleasure Craft permit, the DDRA will pay for your application and testing. You must be willing to obtain your permit before June 29th and volunteer on one or both of the following dates:
June 30, 2016: approximately 7:00 am to 12:00 pm to drive volunteers from the ARC docks to the island and help setup the Canada Day Regatta course.July 1, 2016: approximately 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. You will leave from ARC docks and travel to the island where you will drive a boat for the day at the Canada Day Regatta.
